Harini Ganesh’s Stories

“Books serve to show a man that those original thoughts of his aren’t very new after all.”
― Abraham Lincoln

Hello. I am Harini, studying fourth grade in Tam‘O’ Shanter Junior Public School, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A few months back, my parents presented me with a book about Abraham Lincoln.I heard about him during my third grade, while studying at Dentzler Elementary School, Parma,Ohio, US. I prepared and delivered a presentation on US Presidents. I just read about him as one of the presidents at that time.

But, after reading the book, I realized that he was not one among them, instead, he was the ‘ONLY’ among them.

I welcome you all to read my thoughts on Lincoln a Living Icon. Here’ living’ means his ideology and thoughts. Like how Bruce Lee is still an icon for martial arts, even after his death many decades ago, I could visualize Lincoln is an evergreen example for ‘Rise above the Hate’. I did realize the same with our wonderful, humanitarian leader Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam.

I drew all drawings here based on my imagination about him when I read his story on the internet.  I follow his quote

“Whatever you are, be a good one.”
― Abraham Lincoln

After reading this book, you definitely recollect another Lincoln’s quote

“My Best Friend is a person who will give me a book I have not read.”
― Abraham Lincoln

Thank you
